Aiden is a busy kid. He never stops moving. When it comes to Easter he winds up with a lot of candy from the Easter egg hunts we attend. So then he doesn’t get much candy from me. Honestly, he doesn’t need it. We like to look for active toys for my little energizer bunny. So what should you put in your active child’s Easter Basket? Here are a few ideas.
Side note. Most of this stuff comes from the dollar store for us. If you’d like to have the convenience of shopping online I’ve added Amazon affiliate links.
My list is usually stuff we would use for spring fun. It’s usually the stuff I wind up replacing yearly because stuff wears out or gets used up. We load up on the fun with his Easter basket to hopefully make it through until Summer.

Rain Stuff
April usually means rain so I usually look for rainboots and a raincoat around this time. He’s a little weed so most stuff doesn’t fit for more than a year. We managed to snag him some rain boots when they went on sale at Walmart right before fall so I’ll be on the lookout for a good raincoat only this year. Here are a few from Amazon.

Bubbles
Aiden could use a gallon of bubble mix at a time. He loves making bubbles and chasing bubbles and popping bubbles. Be completely covered in bubble mix if it’s warm enough. I’d like to find an automatic bubble blower so he doesn’t beg me to do it when he just wants to chase and pop.
Chalk
Sidewalk chalk is so much fun. There are so many things you can do with it. You can teach or draw or make all kinds of fun. If you want to get the energy out to try our sidewalk chalk activities.

Kite
For a kid who loves to run a kite is the best thing ever. I get him a new kite every spring. He might not be able to fly it too well just yet but the running. He never wants to stop.
Sand toys
We plan on going to the beach at least once this year and Aiden has a sandbox. They rarely make it through the winter since Aiden likes to use them in the snow. So it’s a good idea to get some new stuff.
Floating toys
We use our floating toys all year round. Aiden has a collection for his swimming stuff. They are a great motivator. Weither it’s for bath or the pool or the beach, you should get a few new ones.

Ball
You can always find a friend if you have a ball. There are so many options. Football, soft ball, or just about anything. Aiden loves those oversized plastic balls kicking or throwing it all over our front yard.
Kitchen pots and pans
Pots and pans are fun for water play or sand or even dirt and mud. The dollar store has so many kitchen things. Whisks, wooden spoons, pots, bowls, and measuring cups are all great for playing and pretending.
Finger paint
We’ve made our own finger paint but I do like to have some regular paint just in case I don’t feel like making it. Aiden is all for creating tons of pictures then covering himself completely. We usually get our finger paint at the dollar store.
Soft Friends
No matter how active your little is there’s at least one soft friend that they love. It might be a doll or an animal. Aiden carries around three paw patrol pups that he needs to sleep all the time. He’s getting a little bunny this year.

Great selection on gifts! Will check out the affiliate links as well.
Great post as easter’s just around the corner. Love the kite idea, I rarely see kid splaying kites these days. Pinning this!
Love these ideas without the electronic gadgets and internet! Thanks for sharing ♥️ ♥️ By any chance, are you interested in doing collabs? xx
He gets plenty of screentime when mommy is working. I always try to get him out and active. And yes I’m always looking for collabs. Send me an email or message what you have in mind. 🙂

These are some amazing gifting ideas for Easter basket. Now I am confused I like each and every item
I love the dollar store. You can get almost everything there and it’s not a lot of money. Or just one or a few. It’s totally up to you. 🙂
My kids love bubbles. Definitely think that’ll be something we put in their easter baskets.
a cool list of fresh new ideas for gifts for anytime of the year..
It is great to think outside of candy for Easter. You are right, my kids always get plenty of candy at the egg hunts. I like for their Easter baskets to be more fun stuff than food!
Fingerpaint is a wonderful idea. I also like the plush toy idea.
OMG that little face. Certainly and active one. Great ideas– sometimes it’s hard to come up with fresh ideas and this helped!
I love teddy bears I think most of kids they love to receive toys and candies on ester Sunday.
I don’t have a kid yet, but these are nice gift ideas! They’re good because these gifts keep children active!
Off the gadgets and back to nature! Great ideas. Love each.
I had to laugh at the pots and pans. My son’s favorite “toy” when he 2 or 3 was the lid from the wok and a tennis ball. His dad spun the lid in one direction and the ball inside the lid in the opposite direction and son spent hours trying to do the same! It was such inexpensive, awesome fun!
I just love how much fun he’s having. That smile made my day!!! To many more smiles and laughter♥️♥️♥️
I love the sand toys and float toys and your little one looked too cute covered in the tinsel grass lol
These are such great ideas for his Easter basket! My kids would especially love the rain goodies and bubbles.
I love all these ideas. We try to stay away from so much candy, and focus more on useful things that the kids can enjoy.
