It’s time to get the Easter baskets ready. So we hit the dollar store for toys and just a little bit of candy. It’s the perfect opportunity to get fun stuff for spring. Lots of new things to play with outside. This is what we are putting in our active toddler Easter basket.
Active Toddler Easter Basket
I don’t know about your active toddler but mine needs zero sugar to bounce off the walls from 6 am – 10 pm and then repeat. So he doesn’t get a whole lot of sugar. However, he does get some in the form of chocolate. The key is not a lot of candy at one time. After all, we did hit a few Easter egg hunts so he already has a bag full.

We’re more focused on the fun stuff. He got about $10 worth to pick out himself at the dollar store. This year we got a puzzle, jump rope, chalk, some Easter candy, a big wheels, sunglasses, and two bug hunting kits. He also got a basket and one toy I picked out from Amazon.

He will also get to hunt eggs with candy and snacks on Easter in our yard. I will set it up on Easter morning. Give him lots of space run. 🙂

In the meantime, we are hitting all the Easter egg hunts in the area including the one at my work. Aiden got to grab eggs at the underwater Easter egg hunt at the YMCA. Some of the local churches have Easter egg hunts. So does the library and our church has a big party the day before Easter with bouncy houses.
Happy Easter! Have fun and lots of chocolate. Get your active toddler Easter basket ready.
