V is for Virtues

Sharing is caring!

Virtues are caught and not always taught. It’s also built over the years. Chivalry isn’t dead. It’s just not taught anymore. It should be. A good man protects those who need help. Provides for their family. Leads their family unit. And won’t shy away from hard work.

Letter V

My son has some habits I don’t love. Part of raising him is teaching the virtues of being a gentleman and one day a good husband and father. In a world full of jerks I want to raise a decent man. It takes time and patience. He’s still learning.

The letter V is the letter of the alphabet.  Aiden picks visit, van, and vet when he’s asked for a v words.

A v sounds like vua.

Activities  and ideas:

  • Make a volcano. Use vinegar and baking soda to cause the eruption. You can use paper mache or sand or anything else you please. A plastic water bottle in the middle will help with a great blast and keep your volcano in shape for more than one use.
  • Plant a veggie garden in the spring. If it’s cold still you can plant some potted plants of lettuce, herbs, or other small plants.
  • Build a village. Use toilet paper tubes, construction paper, and egg cartons. Make houses and trees. Play with your creation.

As a homeschooling mom, I know one of the homeschool essentials is a good-quality printer with cheap ink. Make sure you look at the cost of the ink before you buy. The printer price isn’t the price to worry about. We have an old one we bought about 10 years ago. Totally worth it. It doesn’t even have to have both print cartilages to print.
